Certified Home Inspections
This is a visual inspection (non-invasive) examination of the physical structure and major interior and exterior systems of the residential building. First and foremost, this is an inspection that identifies possible Fire, Health, and Safety issues that could affect the home buyer. It includes details on the condition of all major areas/components of the home, while following professional Standards of Procedure (SOP). These are guidelines set forth by the National Association of Certified Home Inspectors. All of our inspectors are certified professionals and have completed courses under the InterNACHI CPI program. These specific certifications go above and beyond the standard for most home inspectors -- these certifications are what set us a part! We are also certified for infrared thermography inspections and the use of infrared cameras.
Interior Inspections
When purchasing a home, you want to ensure you are aware of all the benefits and issues your new space offers. An interior inspection includes testing the condition of many of the components that make up the home - including but not limited to, Attic Insulation and Ventilation, Electrical, Plumbing, and HVAC systems.
Exterior Inspections
An Exterior Inspection is a proactive approach to identifying moisture intrusion points of entry and exterior maintenance/repair items. Exterior systems play a critical role in the longevity of the home. From the foundation, to the apex of the roof, the home’s building envelope encompasses all aspects of the structure.
Infrared Cameras
Whether it's an air leak, a gap in insulation, or moisture hiding in a wall, what a home inspector looks for isn't always easy to see with the human eye. That's why JLH Inspections utilizes and rely on home inspection infrared cameras in every home inspection. Infrared cameras are another tool to identify home defects.
Mold Testing
Testing for mold is an important step in keeping a home clean and safe, promoting good air quality, and preventing mold from destroying your domain. Allow JLH Inspections to help you with a mold inspection and mold testing needs to keep your home free of mold problems.
Radon Testing
Radon is a naturally occurring radioactive gas released in rock, soil and water that can build up to dangerous levels inside any home. The U.S. Surgeon General recommends all homes be tested for radon. This can help protect you and your family from a key cause of lung cancer.
Termite Inspection
A Wood Destroying Inspection/Termite inspection is a non-invasive, visual inspection of the interior and exterior. All wall/floor/ceiling coverings, insulation, furniture, stored items, shelving, etc. are not moved or disturbed during inspection.
